Radermecker gets a Cruze for Zolder

Chevrolet has announced that it will enter a fourth RML-run Cruze in the WTCC round at Zolder, with local Vincent Radermecker at the wheel

The 42-year old from Liege drove a Lacetti in 2006, winning the ADAC Procar Championship in Germany and competing in two rounds of the WTCC.

He was also a Belgian touring car champion in 2005 and a French Supertouring Car vice-champion in 2002.

"I am really very happy of this opportunity to be back in the WTCC and behind the wheel of a Chevrolet, in ideal conditions and in my own country," said Radermecker.

"I am conscious that the level of professionalism and competitiveness in the series is tremendously high, but I hope that my excellent knowledge of the track will be a plus and I am confident that I can do well and help the Chevrolet team achieving a successful racing event in Belgium.

"Next weekend I will be in Monza to work with the team and the drivers, then I will participate in the shake-down at MIRA ahead of the Zolder race, which will allow me to familiarize with the Cruze."
