Sordo positive after new Citroen test

Sordo and Citroen Junior Team driver Sebastien Ogier drove the car for two days each, with Sordo's second day cut slightly short after he broke a part on the car.

Sordo said: "The test was not bad. I broke one part in the car, which meant I had to stop a little bit early, but it was nothing to worry about. I drove for two days and the car was really well. It wasn't so different to how it was the last time I tested it.

"At the moment, we are not testing the car for the set-up, it's just working on parts like the suspension and the transmission to see how the car runs."

Citroen is still running the engine from its current World Rally Car, the C4 WRC albeit in a de-tuned form for the DS3.

"Running the DS3 with less power from the C4 engine works well," said Sordo. "It gives us an idea of what we can expect from the new car."
