Hartley leads wet FR3.5 session
Formula Renault 3.5 title hopeful Brendon Hartley emerged fastest for Tech 1 Racing on a wet final morning of collective testing at Barcelona
Hartley's time of 1m55.744s was 0.344s quicker than Comtec's Greg Mansell in second place.
The adverse conditions contributed to a number of stoppages. An off-track moment for Fortec's Sergio Canamasas brought out the red flags for the final eight minutes, securing Hartley's position at the top of the timing screens.
Carlin team-mates Mikhail Aleshin and Jake Rosenzweig ended the morning in third and fifth positions. Aleshin set the pace for much of the early running ahead of Draco's Nathanael Berthon, who would slip to an eventual fourth. Canamasas's team-mate Sten Pentus rounded out the top six.
Junior Lotus Racing drivers Nelson Panciatici and Daniil Move did not venture out on track, while Formula Renault Eurocup champion Albert Costa sat out the session as he was feeling the effects of his bruising accident on Thursday.
