FOTA thanks fans for survey responses

The Formula One Teams' Association has thanked those who have completed its fan survey up to now - and says it is looking forward to seeing the results have an impact on its plans to improve the sport

FOTA has joined forces with electronics company LG and AUTOSPORT's sister publication F1 Racing to conduct the most in-depth research into how grand prix racing can be made better.

After the survey has closed, the results will be published and used by FOTA to help it decide what changes need to be made to make F1 better for fans.

FOTA chairman Martin Whitmarsh said he was delighted with the interest seen so far in the survey - and eager to find out exactly what the sport's followers think of F1.

"I wish to thank all fans and interested people that compiled the survey and I look forward to the wider publishing of these findings, and the stimulus they will give to the various FOTA Working Groups as we continue to look for opportunities to optimise the F1 fan experience," said the McLaren team principal.

The survey remains open until Monday February 15, and can be found here: www.lgf1racingfansurvey.com.
