Wilson moves to Dreyer & Reinbold

Last year Wilson gave his former team Dale Coyne Racing its first victory in 25 years of trying by dominating at Watkins Glen, and went on to finish ninth in the championship.

He was initially expected to stay on with Coyne for 2010, but has now concluded a deal with Dreyer & Reinbold instead. Z-Line Designs, the main sponsor on Wilson's Coyne car, is also moving across to DRR.

"Obviously I'm very excited to join Dreyer and Reinbold Racing," Wilson said. "I think that they are a great team and I really like the direction that DRR is headed in. They have put a lot of work in over the winter and that is very encouraging."

Although Dreyer & Reinbold won on its IndyCar debut at the start of the 2000 season, it has not taken a victory since. Its best result of 2009 was Conway's third place at Sears Point. However Wilson is optimistic that the team can take a big step forward this year.

"I believe that we will be very competitive and my aim is to win the championship," he said. "I know it may seem steep, but I feel that we have a very good chance and I'm ready to win some races."

The team fielded 26-year-old rookie Conway for the full 2009 championship, with Darren Manning, Tomas Scheckter and Milka Duno all doing stints in the second DRR car.

Conway was rapid throughout his debut season, although he also had a string of crashes in the first half of the year. With more experience behind him, the Briton is confident of a much stronger challenge in 2010.

"Last year there was a lot to learn and was a tough season, but now I'm more prepared and looking forward to the season ahead," said Conway.

"Over the winter the team has been striving to build a better team and from what I have seen it all looks very exciting. I'd like to thank all of my sponsors for all their continued support and can't wait to get out and win races this year."
