Lotus boss to open Business Forum

Lotus team principal Tony Fernandes is to give the keynote address on the opening day of this year's Motor Sport Business Forum in Monaco, which takes place next week

Fernandes, who is also the boss of AirAsia, has been handed the prestigious slot on the back of his ambitious plans to enter F1 with the famous Lotus name.

He has put together a partnership with the Malaysian government and local backers to get the Lotus marque back into F1 for the first time since 1994.

The second day of the Forum will be opened with a keynote address from Jacques Raynaud, vice-chairman of the Eurosport channel.

The Motor Sport Business Forum is in its fifth year and has established itself as a must-attend winter event for leading figures from the motor sport industry.

This year's Forum once again features representatives from all levels of motor racing, and as well as looking at the latest developments in F1, it will feature debates on the World Rally Championship and the wider business world.
