Bianchi not letting F1 talk distract him

The Frenchman is at the centre of new speculation that he could have another run for Ferrari at next month's young driver test days at Jerez.

Although unable to confirm anything about his next move in F1, Bianchi said his total focus was on ending his F3 season in perfect style with victory in Macau, rather than worrying about what might happen in the next few weeks.

"Nothing is confirmed yet at Ferrari. Everybody is saying that, but I don't know yet," Bianchi told AUTOSPORT about the speculation regarding his future plans.

"We are speaking with some teams, but nothing is sure yet. We are still waiting for news and I prefer to concentrate on my races and what is happening in the present, rather than think about the future."

Although Bianchi achieved his main target of winning the F3 Euro Series this year for ART, and will move up to GP2 with the team in 2010, the Frenchman admits that he will give everything to still try and win Macau.

That comes not only from a desire to end his season on a high, but also because it would bring some more silverware back to the family home with his grandfather Mauro having won the Macau Grand Prix in 1966.

"Macau is the best F3 race in the world," he added. "After winning the Masters last year and the Euro Series this year, I really want to win Macau now. For sure if I did it, it would be very good for me but I know it is going to be difficult.

"There are a lot of good drivers here this season especially Marcus Ericsson, Renger van der Zande, and Brendon Hartley. The level is very high, so for sure it is going to be hard. But I think the team did a really good job and Mercedes-Benz also, so we are well prepared for the race.

"Of course if I win this race it will be really special for me, because to win after my grandfather did it, it will mean everything."
