Sutil hoping for wet race in Brazil

Adrian Sutil believes that a wet race will boost his and Force India's chances of a points finish in the Brazilian Grand Prix

The German, who was ninth fastest in Friday's second free practice session, just 0.406 seconds off pace-setter Fernando Alonso's Renault, has put in some of his best performances in wet races and is confident about his chances.

"I would be very happy to have a wet race," Sutil told AUTOSPORT. "It would increase our chances of points.

"It has been a long time since our last wet race in China, and to have a real wet weekend would be very good. But the forecast is getting better and we will have to wait and see."

The 26-year-old added that Force India's performance during Friday practice was inconclusive, but that he believes making it to the Q3 top 10 qualifying shootout is possible.

He pointed to the fact that the field was covered by less than a second in FP2 as making it difficult to judge performance.

"We are in quite good shape here," he said. "It's still too early and we don't really know where we are, especially with the field being so close.

"We will see what happens in qualifying. All I can say is that I feel comfortable with the car and it's good to drive. If it is enough for points, we will see, but the target is at least second qualifying and maybe Q3."
