Shedden to complete BTCC season

Gordon Shedden will return to the British Touring Car Championship at Rockingham next weekend after agreeing a deal to see out the rest of the season

Shedden, 30, who was left driveless when Clyde Valley Racing withdrew from the championship last month, will race under the Club SEAT banner. His car will be the same biofuel Leon he claimed a podium finish with at Knockhill earlier this season.

"We will be ready to race at Rockingham, and I am grateful to all of my sponsors for making this happen," said Shedden, a 10-time race-winner in the BTCC.

"I will be doing everything in my power to give the whole team its well deserved podium places in the last two weekends of the season. It's certainly been an up and down season for me but I'm thrilled to be able to take up this opportunity."

Cartridge World, the title sponsor of Shedden's car when it was run by Clyde Valley Racing, will remain as a backer of the car, but in a smaller capacity.

Shedden, who began the year in a Team Dynamics Honda, lies 13th in the championship, having missed five of the eight rounds so far.
