Sevilla replaces Al Ain in Superleague

Spanish club Sevilla will replace Al Ain in the Superleague Formula's team line-up from this weekend's Donington Park races

Esteban Guerrieri, who won on his series debut with Al Ain at Zolder earlier this month, will remain on board in the car's new colours.

The move marks a return to the championship for Sevilla, which took a victory at Donington and finished 10th in the inaugural series with Borja Garcia last winter.

"To be back in Superleague Formula is as big a message as we can give, not just to the fans of Sevilla but to the entire city of Sevilla," said club president Jose Maria del Nido.

"The colours of our club will again project the name and image of the city to an international audience."

Al Ain's exit comes despite Miguel Molina and Guerrieri having put the team second in the standings behind Liverpool after the first two meetings. Its departure means that Tottenham Hotspur and driver Craig Dolby are effectively now series leaders Liverpool and Adrian Valles' closest rivals, 31 points adrift in the championship.
