Hegewald claims back-to-back poles

Tobias Hegewald continued his strong form of the weekend so far to take pole position for the second Formula 2 race at Spa-Francorchamps this weekend

The German had already secured the top spot for today's first race and has now ensured that he will start tomorrow's from the front as well.

"So far, the weekend has been perfect," said Hegewald. "I have to just concentrate on these two races - if I do well then we will see about the championship."

Robert Wickens will join Hegewald on the front row, but posted just three flying laps before a red flag cut the session short. Armaan Ebrahim crashed exiting Eau Rouge and was collected by Henry Surtees as he bounced back across the circuit.

Andy Soucek, who will start alongside Hegewald on the front row today, posted the third fastest time in the session. He will start alongside Alex Brundle, who used his experience of Spa from Formula Palmer Audi to claim his best F2 starting spot yet in fourth.

Julien Jousse and Milos Pavlovic will share row three, with Red Bull drivers Mikhail Aleshin and Mirko Bortolotti on row four.
