BMW vows to keep on pushing

BMW Sauber has vowed not to give up on its efforts, despite failing to deliver on the high hopes it had gone into the season with

The Hinwil-based team had predicted a fight for the world championship in 2010, but its F1.09 has not lived up to expectations and the team has had just one podium finish so far - while Robert Kubica has not yet scored any points.

But despite the difficult start to the year, Kubica and team boss Mario Theissen are adamant that they will keep working hard to turn things around.

Kubica said: "It has been difficult start to the year but the season is long. We have to keep working and pushing, and then we will see."

BMW Sauber is expected to bring its double decker diffuser to the Turkish Grand Prix as part of a package of improvements it hopes will lift it up the grid.

"The atmosphere here is okay," said Theissen "There is a good fighting spirit because we want to turn it around. We want to get back to where we deserve to be - and where we know we can be from past experience.

"We have several other steps for the season in the pipeline and Istanbul will be the next one, then we will see where we are. But this will not be the one and only decisive step for the season."
