ORECA remain on top at Ricard

The French ORECA team continued their domination of the official pre-season Le Mans Series test in the final session at Paul Ricard

Nicolas Lapierre topped the times on Monday afternoon at the wheel of the lead AIM-engined Courage-ORECA LC70E with a 1:41.192. That completed a clean sweep of top spots for ORECA's number one car over the five sessions on Sunday and Monday.

Second fastest in the final session was the Speedy Sebah Lola-Aston Martin driven by team newcomer Neel Jani. The Swiss was 1.6 seconds back on a 1:42.776.

Lapierre ended the test fastest overall with his 1:40.903s set in the opening session on Monday.

Second fastest was the Speedy Sebah car in the hands of Marcel Fassler, who ended up half a second clear of Pierre Ragues in the Signature team's year-old Courage-ORECA-Judd LC70E.

Olivier Beretta, who was helping out the Luc Alphand Aventures team set up their Chevrolet Corvette C6.R on Dunlop tyres, jumped to the top of the GT1 times in the final session.

His 1:53.933 meant Beretta finished the test half a second up on the Reiter-run Lamborghini Murcielargo R-GT driven by Peter Kozx.
