Johnson back to Daytona 24 Hours
NASCAR Sprint Cup champion Jimmie Johnson will again team up with Jimmy Vasser, Alex Gurney and Jon Fogarty for the Daytona 24 Hours
The triple Sprint Cup winner finished second in last year's event with the same Bob Stallings Racing line-up and is looking forward to beginning his season with Grand Am's major event again.
"When we left Daytona last year, Bob asked if I'd like to do it again and I said 'if you guys have a spot, count me in," said Johnson. "To know the faces, the car, the equipment, the teammates, it makes those four days of the race weekend so much easier.
"In Grand-Am, the biggest race of the year is the first one - just like NASCAR, so the more refined you are and the more well-oiled the machine is, the better the experience. I think that might make this year my best experience ever down there."
Johnson is expected to test the car on the final day of the three-day pre-event test on January 5.
