Alguersuari replaces Webber at RoC
British Formula 3 champion Jaime Alguersuari will become the youngest driver to take part in the Race of Champions when he joins the event this weekend
The Spanish driver will team up with Australian Troy Bayliss to form an All-Star team for the event at Wembley Stadium this Sunday.
Alguersuari replaces the injured Mark Webber, who broke his leg in a cycling accident last month.
The 18-year-old will be the youngest driver to take part in the race.
"Being invited to participate in The Race of Champions is a totally unexpected prize within an unforgettable year for me, after winning the British F3 International Series," said Alguersuari. "I am very proud to be among such an impressive group of drivers.
"Some of them were already world champions when I was just racing in karts, so racing with them is going to be something very special. I am a single seater driver and The ROC 2008 will be one of my first times at the wheel of touring and rally cars.
"I am just 18 and I got my driving license just six months ago but I will do my best to contribute for a huge show."
