RoC to feature new cars this year

This year's Race of Champions will feature the KTM X-Bow and the RX Racing RX150 buggy as new additions to the line-up of cars in the event next month

Organiser Fredrik Johnsson revealed the roster of machinery at the event's press conference at Wembley Stadium today, with the two new cars joining the Ford Focus WRC, FIAT Abarth 500 Assetto Corse, the Solution F Prototype and the specially-designed RoC Car.

"It's a very exciting sportscar (the X-Bow) and because it is open, the crowd will really be able to see the drivers at work, managing the car, like never before," said Johnsson.

This year's Race of Champions will also introduce a live voting system for spectators to decide awards such as the most entertaining driver during the night.

Race of Champions co-founder Michele Mouton announced that she will step down from her role in organising the event each year, although she will continue to design the circuit layout for future events.

"We created a new concept with the Race of Champions and after 20 years working on the organisation it, I have decided to step back.

"I will still be around to help and will still be responsible for the track design, but I will have more time for myself and for new challenges."

This year's event will take place at Wembley on December 14th.
