Priaulx wins race two at Pau

Andy Priaulx scored his first World Touring Car Championship victory of the season in race two at Pau today

The triple world champion earned the pole position with eighth place in race one and led from start to finish in a race that had to be started behind the safety car because of the amount of standing water on the track.

Priaulx converted his lead into a comfortable victory over Chevrolet's Nicola Larini, despite soaking up early pressure from the Italian, while SEAT's Rickard Rydell completed the podium in third.

Gabriele Tarquini maintained his championship lead, despite finishing a distant fourth, ahead of Rob Huff and race one winner Augusto Farfus. Yvan Muller and James Thompson filled the final point-scoring positions, the latter scoring for the first time this year in N.Technology's Honda Accord.
