John Andretti to continue with Roth
John Andretti will remain in the No. 24 Roth Racing Honda/Dallara for the next two IndyCar Series races - this weekend at Milwaukee and next weekend at Texas
Andretti was one of the biggest surprises of the month of May, taking over the No. 24 car from Jay Howard and turning lap times among the top 10. He started 21st and finished 16th in the Indy 500.
When team owner Marty Roth offered Andretti a chance to continue his run, Andretti didn't hesitate to accept.
"I jumped at the chance," Andretti said. "The opportunity to get more experience in the cars and in the series is a good thing for the future.
"My goal is to get as competitive as possible at Indianapolis. I'd still like an opportunity to win the race."
Andretti has not raced in an IRL event at Milwaukee, but has competed in four CART races at the track, including a second-place finish behind cousin Michael Andretti and ahead of uncle Mario Andretti in 1991.
