BMW pair not happy with set-up yet

Robert Kubica, BMW Sauber, Turkish Grand Prix practiceBoth BMW drivers felt there was more work to do to get the F1.08 on the pace after free practice in Turkey.

Robert Kubica ended second practice in sixth, having lost time due to a suspension problem in the morning, while his teammate Nick Heidfeld was 10th fastest.

The Pole said the lack of mileage meant he had yet to perfect his set-up, but was optimistic that he could get the car to his liking in time for qualifying.

"Unfortunately I didn't have too much time on the track this morning due to a small technical problem," Kubica said.

"Therefore we had to squeeze the morning work into this afternoon's programme. We only did four runs and had to work on the tyres and the set-up.

"We still have a few problems with the balance of the car, but tested several set-up options which we will now evaluate and then choose the best one. I am confident for tomorrow."

Heidfeld was concerned by his tyres' behaviour, having struggled to get the Bridgestones up to speed in the cold conditions.

"The trouble is I don't get the tyres heated up quickly enough," he said.

"The long run wasn't bad. As soon as the tyres start to work, it is okay, but it takes too long to get there. We now have to work on that."
