Dominguez excited about Indy debut

 Champ Car veteran Mario Dominguez says he can't wait to make his Indianapolis 500 debut this month.
The 32-year-old Mexican had raced in Champ Car since 2002 but the reunification of North American open-wheel racing this year has given him his first opportunity to enter what he calls "the biggest race on the planet".
"It's just incredible here," he said. "I have a lot of oval experience and nothing that's I've ever dreamed of even compares to this race track. There's so much history and tradition that you can really feel it. To drive around this track is an absolute dream come true.
"I've been here as a spectator a couple of times and it's unbelievable. It hasn't really hit me yet that I'm driving here, so it's fantastic."
Dominguez recalls that the Indy 500 played a major part in his love of motorsport.
"I've watched the Indy 500 for as long as I can remember," he added. "I remember once I was very little, probably about five years old, and my dad knew I liked racing and said to come and watch this race.
"He wasn't a racer but he told me it was the biggest race on the planet. I agreed, so ever since then I've been hooked. A fellow Mexican, Josele Garza, was racing here in the mid 80s and he got Rookie of the Year. I remember watching him in that race and he got to lead 13 laps if I remember correctly.
"Since I was very young I've been wanting to race at Indianapolis, so hopefully my dreams will come true."
