Ferrari may not use new nose in all races
Ferrari say they are yet to decide if they will use their new 'hole in the nose' design in all the remaining races of the season
The team introduced the concept in the test in Barcelona earlier this month and then raced it successfully on Sunday, when the team took a commanding one-two.
But despite the design proving effective at the Spanish track, Ferrari's team principal Stefano Domenicali says the team could revert to the previous version for very fast circuits.
"We still have to evaluate that. On this type of track, as far as the balance of the car is concerned, it was fundamental together with the rest of the package. But I can't yet say whether we'll use it everywhere," said Domenicali.
"In theory, medium-quick circuits like this one are the ones where we can really use it. The super-quick ones are in doubt. We'll have to evaluate that."
The team's technical director Aldo Costa admitted they were pleased with their performance in Spain, and says they will introduce some news part in time for the Turkish Grand Prix next week.
"There are reasons to be satisfied with the performance of the car over the entire weekend," Costa told Gazzetta dello Sport. "The developments have shown to be positive and in our programs we plan to launch new ones race after race.
"There will be some new ones in two week's time in Turkey too, they will concern aerodynamics and they will be visible, just like this hole. We won't plug this hole for a while at least: we would be crazy with the results it's giving us."
