Mosley receives invite to visit Israel

Majadle, who is the first Arab Minister in Israel's history, was having his first visit to Jordan - where Mosley was also present following an invite from Prince Feisal Al Hussein, who is also head of the country's motorsport body.

The invite to Israel has been extended with a view to discussing motorsport in the region.

Mosley's visit to the WRC event in Jordan was his first public appearance since revelations about his private life were made by the News of the World newspaper.

He is due to face a vote of confidence about his position during an extraordinary meeting of the FIA's General Assembly in June following the newspaper's expose.

Several national motoring bodies have called on Mosley to resign over the matter, but the invites from Jordan to attend the WRC event and now Israel show that the negative feelings are not shared by all.

The invite to attend Israel is also significant because the News of the World alleged that there were elements of Nazism during Mosley's visit to prostitutes. He has strongly denied that suggestion, and is taking legal action, seeking unlimited damages, against the newspaper.
