Tracy to part company with Forsythe
Paul Tracy will end his long-term association with Forsythe Racing after Sunday's Champ Car finale at Long Beach
The 39-year-old series veteran was confirmed on the entry list for Long Beach with Forsythe last week but will part company with the team following an on-going contract dispute with boss Gerry Forsythe.
"We haven't resolved our differences in the issues of my contract, but we've decided to do that in a business-like manner after Sunday's race," Tracy told SpeedTV. "Right now I just want to try and win the last Champ Car race.
"We got everything worked out for Long Beach but this is the last race I'll be driving for him."
Tracy is still hoping to join the IndyCar Series at some point this season and aims to arrange a full campaign for 2009.
"I'm open to do anything after this race and I want to run at Indianapolis for sure," he added.
"I don't have a sponsor for this year because mine is too far along in this year's budget, but they're looking at next year so I'm hoping I can get something going."
