Mosley to attend Jordan WRC event
FIA president Max Mosley has accepted an invitation from Jordan to be a guest of honour during the country's inaugural World Rally Championship round on April 24-27
It will be Mosley's first public appearance at an international motorsport event since sexual allegations were made about him in a British tabloid newspaper more than three weeks ago.
A spokesman for the FIA said Mosley had accepted the invitation from Jordan's Prince Feisal Al Hussein, chairman of the country's motorsport body. The prince is the brother of King Abdullah and is also president of Jordan's national Olympic committee.
"Max has been a strong friend and ally to Jordan and has supported us since we announced our bid three years ago, so we are delighted that he will be sharing the historic occasion with us," the Prince Feisal Al Hussein said in a statement.
The Jordanian invitation is in contrast to the rebuff Mosley received from Bahrain's crown prince before that country's Formula One race earlier this month.
