Lorenzo leads from Rossi in practice 2

Fiat Yamaha teammates Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi finished a quarter of a second clear of the rest of the field in today's second MotoGP practice session at Jerez

Lorenzo pinched the quickest time from Rossi by just 0.043 seconds in the last five minutes of practice.

Colin Edwards, fastest in the morning, was third, with Nicky Hayden, who was fastest for much of the session, the top non-Yamaha, 0.352 seconds adrift in fourth just ahead of his Repsol Honda teammate Dani Pedrosa.

Championship leader Casey Stoner was only sixth fastest and more than half a second off the pace of Lorenzo and Rossi.

Andrea Dovizioso was seventh, with Briton's James Toseland eighth after a crash at turn three mid way through the session. Loris Capirossi and Alex De Angelis completed the top 10.
