Coulthard moves to end tension with Massa

David Coulthard has moved to draw a line under his row with Felipe Massa over their Australian Grand Prix clash, after apologizing to the Brazilian about his post-race outburst

Coulthard was left fuming in Melbourne after feeling that Massa was entirely to blame for their clash at Turn 1 in the race.

He had sworn on live television that he would beat Massa up if the Brazilian did not accept blame for their accident.

But despite the pair agreeing to disagree in Thursday's FIA press conference ahead of the Malaysian Grand Prix, autosport.com has learned that Coulthard later privately apologised to Massa and said he would not linger on the events.

When asked about his apology to Massa, Coulthard told autosport.com: "I just wanted to draw a line under what happened, apologise for the language I used and move on.

"While we cannot get the weekend back, I am still a bit frustrated that the accident happened. There would have been plenty of opportunities for him to have got past me later in the lap."
