Mosley yet to decide on future plans
FIA president Max Mosley says he is yet to make up his mind about whether or not he will continue as head of the governing body when his current term expires
Mosley first took the helm in 1991 and is currently in his fourth successive term in office.
His current term will expire in 2009, but the Briton is still unsure if he will run again for the FIA presidency after that.
"I've definitely got until October 2009 and it is going to be make your mind up time in a year or so," Mosley told reporters in London on Monday.
"I think an awful lot depends on what the clubs want. It is a bit like being a guest at a dinner party, you have got to know when to go. And just because the host says, 'oh, don't go' doesn't mean it isn't time to go. And sometimes the host says, 'don't go' and it really isn't time.
"It will be the clubs. We have 160 clubs in 120 countries, that is the electorate, and soundings will be taken. Also I am not that young any more, I am perfectly healthy now, but I might not be. If the clubs all wanted me to stay and I am fit and so on, then I might well stay."
