Richards to get tough with Subaru
Prodrive boss David Richards has vowed to get tough in a bid to turn around Subaru's fortunes in the World Rally Championship
Richards is on the verge of a full-time return to the team after meeting with the president of Subaru's parent company Ikuo Mori at Rally Japan, where none of the works Subarus completed every stage of the event.
"This is about clear leadership and a demonstrable plan enforced from the top down," said Richards. "Everybody, and I mean everybody, will comply with this plan."
Subaru have not won a WRC event for two years now, and it is widely known that Petter Solberg and the team are not happy with each other.
However, the 2003 champion will stay with the team, as he has no options with Citroen or Ford for next year.
Richards added: "I'm not having anybody in this team with individual agendas. If that means I have to get in there and bang heads together then I'll do just that.
"I will be very, very forceful in this. I don't care about breaking a few eggs."
