Stoner leads Ducati 1-2 in the warm-up

Casey Stoner led a Marlboro Ducati 1-2 in this morning's warm-up at Valencia as teammate Loris Capirossi set a time 0.431 seconds slower than the Australian

Stoner's best time of 1:33.015 was over half a second faster than the third best time of the day, set by Randy de Puniet on Kawasaki.

Honda Gresini's Marco Melandri set the fourth fastest time, ahead of the Pramac d'Antin Ducati of Alex Barros and pole sitter Dani Pedrosa on Repsol Honda.

John Hopkins's Rizla Suzuki was seventh fastest, followed by Sylvain Guintoli on the Dunlop Yamaha Tech 3, Nicky Hayden on the other works Honda, and Chris Vermeulen on the other Suzuki rounding up the top ten.

Valentino Rossi showed that his intention is to take part in the race despite breaking his right hand in qualifying yesterday. The Fiat Yamaha rider did eight laps in the warm-up but his best was a full 2.6 seconds slower than Stoner's, and ended bottom of the timesheets.

Two riders did not take part in the warm-up: Pramac d'Antin's Chaz Davies, whose crash in qualifying left him with a painful hand and body, and Honda LCR's Carlo Checa, who has already spent time in the hospital this weekend due to intestine problems.
