Webber: podium a huge boost for Red Bull
Australian Mark Webber is hoping his Red Bull Racing team can build on their first podium finish of the season
Webber finished in third place in last weekend's chaotic European Grand Prix to give Red Bull their second podium in Formula One following David Coulthard's third position in Monaco in 2006.
The podium, coupled with Coulthard's fifth place, allowed the team to jump Toyota in the championship standings, also moving them just three points behind fifth-placed Williams.
Webber admits the result was a huge boost for the team following a difficult season, and he is now hoping they will be able to keep the momentum.
"It was what we needed, really," Webber told autosport.com during testing at Jerez. "I was just so happy for the team when I crossed the line.
"It was so good to see the boys down there from the rostrum, and see them so happy and it is so good to see the lads (test team) here.
"When the car held it together till the end, I was just relieved, I tell you, with all sorts of problems we had.
"It was a huge boost, and we have to build up on that."
