Klien eager to land Spyker seat
Honda test driver Christian Klien is definitely interested in racing for Spyker this season, but thinks it is too early to work out if he can reach a deal with the Silverstone-based team
The Austrian joined Spyker for the final day of this week's Spa-Francorchamps test as they continue their search to find a replacement for Christijan Albers.
But he thinks his chances of getting the seat will depend on how negotiations between himself, Spyker and the Honda Racing go over the next few days.
"It would be fun to race again," Klien told autosport.com. "The test was very positive, but at the moment it is too early to say something.
"We just have to sit together in the next few days to see what we can do - especially what Honda and myself can do."
Although Spyker have little chance of moving off the back of the grid until their B-spec car appears at the Turkish Grand Prix, Klien has said he enjoyed his first experience with the car.
"It was a very interesting test, especially to drive a different car. For me, and for Honda, it was a nice experience.
"It is always difficult to get a feel of everything on the first day, as the pedals and seat are different, so I just had to get adapted to things.
"It was important for me to get inside the team, and it was interesting for Spyker to get input from an experience driver who has driven another F1 car. It was good fun for me."
