H15: Audi 1-2 at sunrise

It's sunrise at Le Mans, and the race has very much settled into a pattern after 15 hours

The only change at the front of the field has been in the second-placed No. 1 Audi, which now has Frank Biela at the wheel. Otherwise, his stablemate Allan McNish continues to assert the pace of the Audi, holding a commanding lead.

Further down the road, Nicolas Minassian continues to lead the chase in the third-placed No. 7 Peugeot 908. Peugeot appears to be in a position of having to live with the cooling problems that are affecting their cars, but while they are no match for the Audis, they are clearly faster than the No. 16 Pescarolo in fourth.

Sebastien Bourdais has stepped into the No. 8 Peugeot, and the car has regained half of the two-lap deficit that it had to fourth place a couple of hours ago.

Another car on a belated charge is the No. 15 Charouz Racing System Lola. The team have already had an eventful race, having had a crash, a pitlane fire and a long visit to the garage to have other problems sorted out.

But Stefan Mucke is back at the wheel and on a charge - the car has clambered back to 14th, and looks set to regain a few more places yet.

The Binnie Motorsports Lola is still in command in LMP2, while the No. 33 Barazi Epsilon Zytek has lost a bundle of time after Adrian Fernandez took a trip into the gravel.

Tomas Enge is flying in the GT1 class-leading No. 007 Aston Martin, and Jaime Melo is looking equally strong in the GT2-leading Risi Ferrari F430 GT. The similar Ferrari run by the GPC Sport SRL team hit a hurdle when its wheel fell off, leading to a very slow lap back to the pits on three wheels.
