Glock rejects rumours tying him to Toyota

BWM Sauber test driver Timo Glock insists he is in no rush to sort out his future in Formula One, despite speculation in Canada that he is close to a deal with Toyota

With Ralf Schumacher's position at Toyota under threat, sources have suggested that the Japanese car manufacturer is eyeing Glock as a potential replacement - either later this year or for next season.

But speaking to autosport.com in Montreal, Glock has denied that he is close to a deal with Toyota.

"I don't know who put these rumours about, or said something about me and Toyota, but I am here for BMW, I work for BMW and that is the plan until the end of the year.

"And of course I want to concentrate on my job in GP2 and try to win it. After that we can talk about F1, I think."

When asked whether he would quit his GP2 drive and accept an F1 seat mid-season if an offer from Toyota was made, Glock said: "When I would have an offer I would definitely think about it, but I haven't had any offer and I don't think Ralf will quit.

"I am sure they will try and work together to get back in shape. But you never know. At the moment I am not listening to any rumours, I am looking only for facts."
