Red Bull duo calm despite RB3 pace

The duo have just completed their second week of testing with the car, but have found themselves unable to break into the top half of the timesheets yet.

Despite the laptimes, however, both drivers feel that development of the car is heading in the right direction - although they are both aware that more work is needed.

Speaking to autosport.com, Webber said: "Getting in laps is very important to us. This test was not too bad.

"David and I just focused on our programmes. We did a lot of endurance work on brake cooling and getting into the detail work, so we can prepare for Barcelona with a little more efficiency.

"We did tick off a few boxes on the final afternoon, which is nice. We made the best of a wet day, but we got through it.

"So there were a few positives from the test, but we still have a lot to do. My side of the garage had a pretty full week, so it wasn't too bad in the end, but we have got a lot of work to do."

Coulthard added: "We are on a process of discovery and trying to clock up the laps. We want to identify the areas where we can improve the performance, and that is just a continuation of what we have been doing for the last few tests."

Webber is also hoping to get a new seat for the car, after complaining of being cramped in the tight cockpit

"I am not bruised, but I would not want to be racing tomorrow," he said. "But I will be alright."
