Schumacher still unsure about Ferrari role

Michael Schumacher is reluctant to finalise what his future role at Ferrari will be, because he is still uncertain about what he wants to do

The seven-time world champion is expected to provide input to the team throughout the 2007 season, as well as keep an eye on for future talent, but there has not yet been an exact definition of his responsibilities.

Speaking to reporters during a visit to the Dubai Desert Classic golf tournament, Schumacher has said that his role will remain vague for some time yet.

"It's not a very clear definition made to my role in Ferrari so far, simply for the fact that I don't want it to be," he said.

"I'm lucky to have a team like this. They still want to involve me, they still want to use my abilities and they're happy enough to leave it up to me where I want to be involved and where not, so with time that will develop."

Schumacher has also reiterated his support for the signing of Kimi Raikkonen as his replacement.

"I think there are only a few drivers on the market that are absolute top level, and with Kimi we believe we have made a very good choice to have him in our team," he explained.
