BMW not worried about Kubica's style

BMW-Sauber are confident that Robert Kubica will have no problem with Bridgestone's new 2007 tyres, despite his personal worries about the new rubber

Kubica revealed at the launch of his team's new F1.07 earlier this week that he was not happy with his early impressions of the new tyres.

"You have to drive really smooth with these tyres," said the Pole. "At least with our car I struggled with stability on braking, which was causing a lot of problems on the entry to corners.

"So if nothing has changed in the car, then probably you will not see any more driving from me as aggressive as I was last year."

He added: "I am worried that I will have to learn everything from new, because I have driven the last five years like this."

But BMW motorsport director Mario Theissen has said that he believes Kubica will have little problem adapting to the new rubber.

"The tyres certainly are less peaky than the tyres we used this year," Theissen told autosport.com.

"Drivers with a smooth driving style will be happier with the tyres than maybe Robert or maybe Fernando Alonso, but in the end a good, strong driver will adapt to the situation."
