Premat impresses Conquest
Alexandre Premat made an instant mark on the Conquest Racing Team with a brief run at the MSR Houston circuit yesterday
The Frenchman was scheduled to test today, but he completed a handful of laps yesterday as a shakedown run alongside his compatriot Guillaume Moreau.
According to the team, Premat set an impressive time on just his third lap in a Champ Car.
Team manager Chris Mower said: "We got a glimpse of what Alex could do today with only about 35 miles in the car.
"I can't wait to see what he'll do on Wednesday, I think we'll get to see his true potential."
F3 Euro Series graduate Moreau is in the middle of a two-day test, and Mower is expecting both drivers to show well as they gain experience in the cars.
"Guillaume also did a good job, he gave us good feedback and got up to speed quickly," said Mower.
"Wednesday should be a good day with both drivers feeling they can improve the car and be quicker."
