Servia tops wet warm-up
Oriol Servia topped the times in Sunday morning warm-up at Montreal in tricky weather conditions
The PKV Racing driver, who has been quick at the Canadian track all weekend, topped the times with a 1:35.891 lap, an average of 101.703mph, as the the track rapidly moved from damp to wet.
Servia was out early in the session, and when the track was merely greasy, the Catalan's car control was a joy to watch every time the 750bhp turbo V8 came on song.
Surprisingly, given the fact that he has never raced in the wet in his whole career, AJ Allmendinger was second quickest, the Forsythe Championship Racing pilot eclipsing his teammate Paul Tracy.
Will Power of Team Australia brought out the red flag with a spin at Turn 1/2, but not before going fourth quickest, just ahead of the increasingly impressive Belgian Jan Heylen of Dale Coyne Racing.
PKV's second driver Katherine Legge made a good account of herself with eighth quickest, ahead of reigning champion Sebastien Bourdais of Newman/Haas Racing.
