Grosjean makes it a double at Pau

Romain Grosjean made it a double by taking honours in the 66th Pau Grand Prix this afternoon

The French driver led home his Signature teammate Guillaume Moreau for another straightforward victory.

Moreau was lucky to get second, however. His first start was dreadful, and it was only thanks to a first-lap red flag that he got a second chance. A track blockage due to a spun car at Lycee was responsible for the stoppage.

While the first two drivers, both guesting in the series this weekend, disappeared at the front, Mike Conway drove an equally steady race to finish third.

More importantly for him, he was best of the British points scorers and has now surged past Double R Racing teammate Bruno Senna into the championship lead.

An eternity behind Conway, Yelmer Buurman (Fortec Motorsport) fought off race-long pressure from Maro Engel (Carlin Motorsport), who in turn did a lot of defending from Signature driver, and former Carlin racer, Charlie Kimball.

Oliver Jarvis took seventh, while Senna could only manage tenth after struggling all weekend.
