Formula 3 racer Julio Moreno gets Aguri Formula E reserve role
Team Aguri has named Formula 3 driver Julio Moreno as its reserve in Formula E
The 20-year-old contested last year's Formula 3 European Championship with T-Sport, without scoring a point, and switches to the EuroFormula Open Championship in 2016.
Alongside that campaign, he will be Aguri's reserve for the balance of the 2015/16 FE season.
"This is a great team with very talented drivers and engineers, and I'm excited to be a part of it," Moreno said.
"Formula E is something completely new and is already extremely popular with motorsport fans worldwide, and I look forward to working with the team."
Aguri fields Antonio Felix da Costa and Salvador Duran in the series, the latter having replaced Nathanael Berthon before last weekend's round in Buenos Aires.
Moreno could find himself on the grid later this season, with da Costa due to miss two rounds - Berlin and Moscow - due to DTM clashes.
The team had previously suggested it would look for an experienced driver for those events.
"Julio is a promising driver who has great experience for someone of his age, having competed in single-seaters for the past four years," team principal Mark Preston said.
"It's great to welcome him to the team and we hope to provide him with the skills and opportunities to further his career."
