Nurburgring DTM: Miguel Molina puts Audi on race two pole

Audi driver Miguel Molina became just the fourth multiple polesitter of the 2015 DTM season by topping qualifying for Sunday's Nurburgring race

The Spaniard, who led the way in practice, set his time of 1m21.732s inside the final minute, to finish a relatively comfortable 0.207 seconds clear of BMW rookie Tom Blomqvist, who also improved late.

Despite being eliminated on the first lap on Saturday, Jamie Green remains an outside title chance, and he did his prospects no harm in qualifying third.

Green is 48 points behind Pascal Wehrlein with 75 points on offer over the final three races, and it was a quiet session for the drivers ahead of him in the standings.

Wehrlein will start ninth, Mattias Ekstrom 17th and Edoardo Mortara 20th, 0.782s off Molina's pace having reported a lack of rear grip.

Paul di Resta was the lead Mercedes in third, ahead of Bruno Spengler, Augusto Farfus and Maximilian Gotz.

Marco Wittmann rounded out the top 10 as Timo Glock - a polesitter at Oschersleben a fortnight ago - spun twice on his way to 11th.

After topping Saturday qualifying, Lucas Auer will start 15th, sharing the eighth row of the grid with race one victor Maxime Martin.

Gary Paffett will line-up at the rear of the field, having missed the session after the engine in his Mercedes expired in the morning warm-up.
