Williams F1 team to feature at AUTOSPORT International show

The Williams Formula 1 team will put on a major feature at the 2016 AUTOSPORT International show, which will include bringing its paddock motorhome to the event

Autosport International

Autosport International is a four-day event motorsport event that includes a two-day trade show for industry professionals and a two-day public show.

The January 14-17 show will mark the first time the team's base on grand prix weekends has been constructed away from a race circuit, offering fans an up-close experience of an area of F1 that is usually closed off to spectators.

The motorhome will be installed next to the AUTOSPORT main stage, and it will form part of a Williams display also including celebrations of Williams Heritage and Williams Advanced Engineering.

The team will exhibit some of the most famous cars from its history, while there will be appearances from several key people who have played a part in its F1 success.

Williams deputy team principal Claire Williams said: "AUTOSPORT International is the world's biggest racing car show, covering every aspect of our sport and the industry that supports it.

"We are delighted that we will have such a major presence at the 2016 event, which will give us the opportunity to celebrate and share our past and present with our fans - and also give visitors the chance to learn about other elements of the Williams organisation that they may not be familiar with."

More details of the Williams features, which will be on display for the duration of the January 14-17 event at Birmingham's NEC, will be announced in the coming months.
