Lausitz DTM: Jamie Green leads Audi practice domination
Jamie Green topped final practice at the Lausitzring, as Audi stamped its authority on the second round of the 2015 DTM season
Despite the majority of its runners carrying success ballast as a result of its double victory at Hockenheim earlier this month, Audi drivers filled seven of the top nine positions.
Green, who claimed his first win for Audi during the season opener, set the early pace in the 45-minute session with a 1m17.714s lap.
Mike Rockenfeller went fastest just after the halfway mark, before Green improved to a 1m17.430s lap with four minutes remaining to secure top spot.
Championship leader Edoardo Mortara finished the session as his closest challenger, just 0.059 seconds behind, while BMW and Mercedes could at least take some positives from the session.
Friday pacesetter Tom Blomqvist jumped up to third with two minutes remaining, with Mercedes' Robert Wickens moving into fourth just moments later.
From there, Audi drivers Miguel Molina, Rockenfeller, Mattias Ekstrom, Nico Muller and Timo Scheider took the next five positions.
Paul di Resta rounded out the top 10 ahead of Mercedes stablemate and 2014 Lausitzring winner Pascal Wehrlein.
Augusto Farfus and Maxime Martin were next for BMW, with reigning champion Marco Wittmann - who sealed the 2014 title at the venue last September - 16th.
After missing Friday's session with a fuel system problem, Gary Paffett was 19th.
Qualifying and the weekend's opening race will be held later on Saturday afternoon.
