Indianapolis IndyCar: Scott Dixon quickest in second practice

Scott Dixon edged out Will Power to finish up quickest in Thursday's second IndyCar practice session on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course.
The Ganassi driver moved to P1 for the first time 30 minutes into the 90-minute session, and reclaimed the top spot from Power nine minutes before the end with a 1m10.6971s lap, one tenth quicker than the earlier benchmark set by the 2014 champion.
Team Penske could at least console itself with the fact that all four of its cars ended the session in the top six, with KV's FP1-topping Sebastien Bourdais squeezing in between them with the fourth-fastest lap.
Once again it was left to Graham Rahal and Takuma Sato to fly the flag for Honda in the top 10, the pair finishing up in P7 and P8 respectively.
Behind them though, the Japanese manufacturer had to look all the way down to 13th to find its next-fastest representative in the form of Schmidt's James Hinchcliffe.
Despite a couple of spins from Ryan Hunter-Reay and a clash of wheels between Stefano Coletti and Josef Newgarden that bumped the latter off the track, the only stoppage came early on when Power needed to be retrieved after going off at Turn 7.
