Audi driver Filipe Albuquerque stays with Jota Sport for 2015 ELMS

Audi factory driver Filipe Albuquerque will remain with the Jota Sport LMP2 team for an assault on this year's European Le Mans Series.

Audi factory driver Filipe Albuquerque will remain with the Jota Sport LMP2 team for an assault on this year's European Le Mans Series.

The Portuguese, who joined Jota last season, will again share the British team's re-badged Gibson-Nissan 015S with Simon Dolan.

A third driver to replace Harry Tincknell, who will race Nissan's GT-R LM NISMO LMP1 contender in the full World Endurance Championship this season, should be announced next month.

"I am delighted to return to ELMS having just missed out on winning the title with Simon and Harry last year," said Albuquerque, who finished second in the ELMS in 2015.

"The championship gets more competitive every year and I think 2015 will be even tougher, in terms of both cars and drivers, because teams are raising the level."

The 29-year-old was placed with Jota last season after his switch from the DTM to drive Audi's additional entry at Le Mans and Spa.

He will again contest those races for Audi in 2015, driving the latest R18 e-tron quattro.

Jota will run a revised version of the Zytek-Nissan Z11SN that it has raced since 2012.

The new name for the car follows the rebranding of Zytek Motorsport as Gibson Technology and an aerodynamic update of its P2 design.

The updates, which have been tested at Estoril, have "unlocked a whole new area of performance", according to Dolan.
