Charlie Kimball stays on with Ganassi IndyCar team for 2015
Charlie Kimball will remain with Chip Ganassi Racing for the 2015 IndyCar season, the team has confirmed
The multi-year deal means that Kimball is set for his fifth campaign with the team.
His best result in 2014 was a third place in the Sunday race in Detroit, although he also managed top-five finishes at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course, Houston and Toronto.
The 29-year-old said is keen to keep building on the continuity that he has established with his crew.
"I am really excited to continue to be a part of this great partnership with Chip Ganassi Racing," he said.
"The relationships we've built over the past four years, both on and off the track, are only getting stronger.
We'll be working as hard as ever to take the #83 car back to Victory Lane in 2015 and beyond."
The team is still yet to confirm its plans for its #8 entry, which was raced in 2014 by Ryan Briscoe.
Should Ganassi decide to pursue other options, one of the drivers expected to be on the shortlist for the seat is 2013 Indy Lights champion Sage Karam, who signed a development deal with Ganassi at the start of this year.
