Barber Indy Lights: Gabby Chaves wins shortened second race
Gabby Chaves secured the win in a processional second race of this weekend's Indy Lights double-header at Barber
The Belardi driver started from pole and ticked off the laps for a straightforward victory, with his team-mate Alex Baron completing a 1-2 after beating Zach Veach off the start.
Late rain showers led to the race being flagged three laps early, although the finishing order had appeared set for some time.
The race was notable mostly for being nearly completely bereft of any sort of action amongst the top order.
Luiz Razia managed to pass Jack Harvey for fourth, and the only other incidents of note were the early exits for Matthew Brabham and Vittorio Ghirelli, both of whom retired with mechanical problems.
