Jack Goff gets second British Touring Car Championship season

Jack Goff

Jack Goff will stay on in the British Touring Car Championship in a Vauxhall Insignia prepared by Team Hard.

The Briton, 22, made his series debut last year after clinching the 2012 Clio Cup UK crown.

He took a handful of top 10 finishes over the season, before finishing with a flourish by capturing sixth and then second - his first BTCC podium - in the final two races of the year at Brands Hatch.

"The last race of the season has certainly helped me over the winter," said Goff, who will once again compete under the banner of sponsor RCIB Insurance, told the official BTCC website.

"It's brilliant to have a second year.

"We had no testing or development last year, so with every race meeting I was learning the car and the team was learning the set-up, but we had good speed even if we couldn't show it in all the races.

"We've brought in some new personnel to the team as well which should really help with the car.

"It's going to be tough at the front of the field without a doubt, but there's no reason why we can't be fighting for podiums from the word go, and hopefully snatch that first win when we can."

Hard had two full-time entries in 2013, but myriad line-up changes meant it ran a total of seven drivers across the 10 races.

Goff contested every round bar Knockhill, which he opted to sit out in order to focus on the final three events.
