IndyCar race-winner Justin Wilson to contest 2013 Grand-Am run-in

IndyCar race-winner Justin Wilson will contest the final portion of the Grand-Am season with Michael Shank Racing

Wilson has frequently joined MSR's line-up for Grand-Am's showpiece Daytona 24 Hours and was part of the 2012 winning squad, but this will be the first time he has contested a longer programme in the series.

The Briton raced at Watkins Glen alongside Gustavo Yacaman last month and will rejoin the Colombian for the final four races of the season, none of which clash with Wilson's IndyCar commitments for Dale Coyne Racing.

AJ Allmendinger will pair up with Yacaman at Indianapolis later in July before Wilson completes the season in the seat.

Team boss Mike Shank believes Indy Lights convert Yacaman - who was placed on probation following several incidents earlier this year - will benefit from Wilson's tutelage.

"To have this kind of talent available to race for the team is really incredible," said Shank.

"I appreciate what Justin brings to this programme and I am looking forward to the second half of the season for the #6 car.

"Gus has continued to adapt to racing in Grand-Am and we are excited to have him teaming with Justin.

"They both come from that open-wheel background so we hope this will be a very productive final four races."
