Marc VDS Racing Team secured pole position for the third race of the Blancpain Endurance Series at Paul Ricard.
In a tightly fought qualifying it was Maxime Martin who set the fastest lap in the final minutes of the session. The Belgian found just enough space on his last lap and jumped from third to first.
The Black Falcon-run Mercedes of Adam Christodoulou was second place overall and first of the Pro-Am class. Third fastest was the HTP Motorsport Mercedes of Alon Day, just three hundredths of a second behind Christodoulou.
Daniel Zampieri was the fastest Ferrari driver in qualifying as he took the Kessel Racing car to fourth overall ahead of the Hexis Racing McLaren of Alvaro Parente.

Reigning Pro-Am Cup champion AF Corse was third in Pro-Am and will start the race from 10th place on the 60-car strong grid for today's event. Andrea Bertolini was just one second slower than Martin's pole time in the third and final qualifying session.
MRS GT Racing's Philipp Eng was the fastest driver in the Gentlemen Trophy. The Austrian's McLaren was three hundredths of a second faster than the second placed SOFREV ASP Ferrari of Jerome Policand.
The two Blancpain Racing Lamborghinis did not go out in the qualifying session and will not take part in the race later this afternoon.
